Red dead Redemption Lasso Glitch?

I was playing Red dead Redemption on my ps3 and I restarted the storyline (because the psn is down.) There is this glitch where if you lasso someone, then let go, they will stay on the ground. This is a nuisance when trying to do bounty hunter missions etc. Is there a fix? Anyone have any info?
