Should I sue this bonding company?

Ok, so about a year and a half ago, my husband was on bond. We were going through some rough times, and they were threatening to make me pay or go to jail because my husband didn't hold his end of the bond agreement. I told them that the only way I would help, is if they kept my identity hidden. They caught my husband, and the "bounty hunter" I guess you would call her, went to high school with my husband, and thought it would be ok to tell him that I helped her, and then didn't take him to jail, and released him. I ended up getting beaten pretty badly for the incident, and moved 800 miles away to safety. They didn't hold up there end of the bargain, even when they knew it was a safety matter. Is there anything that I can do?
